Book Volume 4: Plum Blossom Hand
133 PP; softcover only; $18, including shipping in the continental US

This is probably the most challenging, complex, and enjoyable of the first four forms in the series. In Praying Mantis there are three Plum Blossoms, distinguished by the general height of the stances in the form: Upper, Middle (Plum Blossom Fist) and Lower (Falling Plum Blossom). This (Plum Blossom Hand) is the upper version; it doesn't require too many extended or low stances, and overall it is rather fun and quick to play. These attributes, together with its grace and beauty, make it a nice form for demonstrations.

Contents: Introduction; At the Beginning; Balancing Yin and Yang; Story; The Tiger Claw; Sifu Eng's Comments on Praying Mantis Plum Blossom Hand; The Form (pp. 25-123); Eight Places to Hit; Eight Places to Hit Reference; About the Author.
